Joe McGill talking with our group on Morris Island.

A few weeks have passed since our adventure through the South. Although it is great to be home, I find myself reflecting often on the incredible experiences of the trip. Joe McGill, our guide while in South Carolina, wrote an excellent Blog Post that discusses our 3 day with him. In his post, he states the value of such a school trip perfectly: “In this world of virtual reality and limited resources, it is easy to become complacent with doing all of the teaching in class rooms.” Joe’s expertise and friendly way made that portion of our trip truly unforgettable.
